Building and maintaining workflow
in BeNeering
BeNeering Approach
- BeNeering maximizes project efficiency by reusing SAP data and logic wherever possible, including organizational structures in SAP Organizational Management, cost center owners, material group assignments, and more
- BeNeering reduces unnecessary data duplication to avoid integration errors, lower TCO, and improve efficiency
- BeNeering allows the creation of any complex rules based on existing SAP logic, while also supporting additional custom rules
- Operates as a cloud-based workflow hub for multiple SAP backend systems to centralize the approval logic maintenance
- Allows approver to see worktasks from multiple backends in one approval inbox
Project set-up
- BeNeering facilitates discussions on rules, defines the design, and outlines workflow steps, agents, and more.
- BeNeering re-uses existing control logic from SAP whenever available.
- Workflow control tables are built and tailored to specific business requirements.
After go-live support
- An authorized administrator from the client side can manage all updates in the workflow control tables.
Workflow orchestration options
The buyer completion & approval workflow on BeNeering Digital Procurement is supporting different options using different workflow technologies (different workflow engines) – BeNeering Central Workflow, SAP MM Release strategy or S/4HANA Flexible Workflow. The workflow orchestration to validate whether a step is executed or not, determine approvers, and the decision taken by approvers is centrally controlled through the BeNeering.
1
Central Workflow can be managed on BeNeering, even when documents like PR and PO are managed on multiple SAP backends. The central workflow is supporting a free definition of approval steps and decision sets for item-based approval. In addition to this, substitutes can be defined centrally or even as a Self-Service.
2
Flexible Workflow is a framework on S/4HANA systems. Work items are created in SAP backend(s) where the workflow engine is connected. This workflow model can be enabled for approval preview and approval Inbox in BeNeering Digital Procurement.
3
Release Strategy in SAP MM can be enabled for approval preview and approval Inbox in BeNeering.
